MODEL COLLECTOR MAGAZINE - INTERVIEW WITH MR AND MRS JOYCE - EFE
The September issue of Model Collector magazine has a 3 page article on the 25 years of EFE. Towards the end of the article is a quote from Mr Joyce which will be of interest: "...There are new shops opening and we are again starting a new tooling programme. Soon collectors will see more entirely new models to excite them".

EFE 5TH SUBSCRIBER NEWSLETTER 2014
My copy of the latest EFE newsletter arrived today and has a couple of points of interest.

Further to my news report of Friday 25th, the cost of the model including postage and packing for the 25th Anniversary models is given for non UK Subscribers. The total cost of each model to Europe is £33.50 including postage and packing. The price to the rest of the World is £34.50 including postage and packing.

Four new models are announced but no further details are given:
20456 Bristol VR3 Bus - First Eastern National
20647 Plaxton Pointer Dart - North Western Premier - Route 38
34303 AEC 2RT2 Bus - London Transport - Route 14
35212 AEC Swift - Sheffield Transport

Mr Joyce, gives an update on model 34207 which was announced some time ago:
"I mentioned in the last letter how difficult it is these days to predict the demand for each of the models that we release. The delays being experienced with models coming from China has caused a further factor to immerge. At the beginning of the year we received pre production samples and advertised several models one of which was the 34207 RLH Weymann bus in Midland General livery. In January through lack of staff the factory making them stopped production and we were forced to move the model to one of our other factories and start again. This model has just passed inspection and should be ready for release in September, a full 12 months after it was ordered. However during this time delay the orders have continued to rise, we had no way of anticipating the demand after all that has occurred, so this model could now be in short supply".

CONFIRMED RELEASE FROM BT-MODELS
I can confirm that the following model has now been released:
B020 Leyland Leopard Duple Dominant II - 'British Coachways - Wallace Arnold

EFE ANNOUNCE TWO SUBSCRIBER OFFER ONLY EFE 25TH ANNIVERSARY MODELS
EFE have announced two Subscriber only special models to celebrate their 25th anniversary and have also released the following text, Click on the links to view photographs of both models:

"Having started the 1:76 scale collectable market for detailed and accurate model road vehicles, in 1988/89, we are proud to be still at the forefront of this fascinating hobby after 25 years. Our first RT bus was launched onto an unsuspecting world in August 1989 and since 1990 we have delighted our collectors with a steady flow of between six and eight new collectable models per month.

To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Exclusive First Editions we have produced 2 special models for our subscribers to enjoy. One features a Leyland RTL bus and the other features a Leyland Titan bus, both in silver and red liveries. There are limited numbers available making them very collectable and valuable.

36006 - Leyland RTL Bus - Exclusive First Editions 25th Anniversary CLICK HERE
Originally part of the London Transport fleet, these buses had a standard RT body adapted to fit onto a Leyland chassis. Extra buses were urgently required to help complement the production of the standard AEC RT bus to supply London with new buses after the war. The main distinguishing feature identifying the RTL bus from the standard AEC RT bus was the Leyland radiator. £32.50 including UK P&P

29207 - Leyland Titan Bus - Exclusive First Editions 25th Anniversary CLICK HERE
To replace the problematic Daimler DMS fleet, London Transport designed their own specific version of the rear engine Olympian bus and used the Leyland Titan name to identify it. These Titan buses were successful in London and became the predominant rear engine buses in the London fleet. £32.50 including UK P&P

You must be a member of the EFE Collectors Association to buy these models.
To avoid disappointment a swift response is recommended. Due to the small production quantity of these models, orders will be handled on a strict date received basis, and we reserve the right to allocate models on a fair basis, if demand exceeds supply".
