London Bus Museum Spring Gathering
 29th April 2013
Brooklands

I arrived at the Show about 11.30, the weather was about 18 degrees with sunny intervals and broken cloud. A complete contrast to last years heavy rain and strong winds. The Show this year took place for the first time in the Brooklands Museum complex. Stalls were both inside the Museum and outside on the grassed area in front of the Museum. Buses were parked in various locations behind and to the side of the Mu8suem and on car parking spaces to the Heights office complex which is adjacent to Brooklands. I was able to park in the Heights car park and had a only a couple of minutes walk to the Museum. Entry to London Bus Museum members was free saving me about £10.00

One Show model was available this year:
34204A AEC RLH London Transport
When I left about 4.30 there was still a few model available for sale on the Museum shop stand.

EFE did not attend the event so there is no news from them.

Further to my News of 17th April, a prototype for the new Jotus resin casting of the Leyland CR was on the Shop stall and I was able to look at it. The model looked excellent and I was told that it had received quite a number of very complimentary comments by visitors who had been able to examine it closely.

On their stall TTC Diecast had a small number of their latest Resin casting for sale:
RES7001B Optare Spectra - East London Coaches - They were taking delivery of the full stock mid week. TTC aloes had a number of their Resin Routemaster FRM Showbus 2011 model on sale which had been modified to remove the Showbus advertising.

I have shown below a selection of photographs of models on sale and also a number of buses from around the showground that caught my eye.
